The team made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The bar had an excellent selection, creating a relaxing ambiance after a day of exploring.
The fitness facilities were limited compared to what I expected.

Had an amazing time with friends! The location is perfect for golfers. we played at Gullane Golf Course and Muirfield Golf Course, both a must-visit. The staff are super friendly and the bar was great for evening hangouts. Don't forget to explore the large patio area!
Dinner options were limited, mainly burgers. If you're not into golf, you might feel out of place with the large groups of golfers around.

We stayed in a beautiful Double or Twin Room with an amazing view of the golf course. The bed was super comfy, and the spacious bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to help us. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a great variety with generous portions.
There's no lift, and the stairs can be challenging.

The location offers stunning views, especially from the rooms overlooking the golf course. The bar area has a nice atmosphere, perfect for winding down after a day out.
While the room layout is attractive, it felt a bit cramped since the bed configuration was more suited for single beds, leaving a significant area unusable. The absence of a mini fridge was a downside, as was the unexpected noise from early morning deliveries outside our window. for those on upper floors, steep and narrow stairs present a challenge, especially for taller guests.

the location was amazin, perfect for golf and close to north berwick for the fringe by the sea. the hotel looked good, like it got a recent makeover, and the staff were super friendly. my stay brought back so many childhood memories, especially sittin in the lounge with those beautiful bay windows. dinner was delicious and breakfast was great too, all fresh and hot. loved the views of the golf course from the lounge, just brilliant!
my room was really hot, we had to open the windows. also, upper floors had really narrow stairs which were tough to climb with my luggage.

The Mallard's dining scene is a delight, featuring an unexpectedly brilliant menu that satisfies even the pickiest eaters. Their breakfast spread was lovely, and the house wine? Absolutely cracking! Plus, the staff's warm welcome made us feel right at home.
That said, the dinner menu felt a bit skinny, especially out of season. We missed the chance to explore more local flavors, but no complaints as what was offered still hit the mark.

Could Use a Little TLC
We stayed as a family and faced several challenges. The room was chilly and lacked hot water for showers. Breakfast was disappointing. we missed fresh fruit and pastries. the staff were friendly, and the bar offered a cozy atmosphere in the evenings. I'd suggest checking room amenities first.
